Der ConnectPort WAN VPN ist ein robuster, aktualisierbarer UMTS-Mobilnetzwerk-Router für die sichere hochgeschwindigkeits-Wireless-Anbindung dezentraler Standorte und Geräte. Neben der Bereitstellung primärer Wireless-Broadband-Netzwerkanbindung dezentraler Geräte kann dieser Router auch als Backup für vorhandene Telefonleitungen genutzt werden. Anwendungsbereiche sind unter anderem Versorgungseinrichtungen, Prozessautomatisierung, Einzelhandel/POS, Bankwesen (Geldautomaten), Verkehrswesen, Medizintechnik und Videoüberwachung.

Der ConnectPort WAN VPN ist ein robuster, aktualisierbarer UMTS-Mobilnetzwerk-Router für die sichere hochgeschwindigkeits-Wireless-Anbindung dezentraler Standorte und Geräte. Neben der Bereitstellung primärer Wireless-Broadband-Netzwerkanbindung dezentraler Geräte kann dieser Router auch als Backup für vorhandene Telefonleitungen genutzt werden. Anwendungsbereiche sind unter anderem Versorgungseinrichtungen, Prozessautomatisierung, Einzelhandel/POS, Bankwesen (Geldautomaten), Verkehrswesen, Medizintechnik und Videoüberwachung.

Dank der aktualisierbaren Wireless-Netzwerk-Plattform können Kunden über unterstützte Type 2 PCMCIA-Kartensteckplätze oder PCI Express-Module schnell und einfach auf zukünftige UMTS-Plattformen und weitere Entwicklungen migrieren. Ebenfalls enthalten sind zwei RS-232-Ports für den Anschluss früherer COM-Geräte sowie ein integrierter 10/100 Ethernet-Switch mit vier Ports für den Anschluss zusätzlicher TCP/IP-Netzwerkgeräte.

Mithilfe der Unternehmenssoftware zum Remote Device Management Digi Connectware® Manager können sich Benutzer bis zu Tausenden dezentraler Geräte problemlos anzeigen lassen, konfigurieren und überwachen. Der Empfang von Warnmeldungen per E-Mail ist ebenso möglich wie die Integration mit einem DNS-Server oder Ihrer Software zur Netzwerkverwaltung.

Für Anwendungen mit hohen Sicherheitsanforderungen bietet ConnectPort WAN VPN über einen integrierten IPsec VPN-Client/Server echten End-to-End-Datenschutz.
