The AccelePort Xem asynchronous concentrator is an expandable, modular and intelligent serial communication solution designed specifically for small to mid-size multi-user installations. It is designed for serial connectivity in small to mid-size multiuser installations and is especially well-suited for applications expected to grow to as many as 64 ports.
This flexible solution is capable of connecting up to 64 RS-232 or RS-422 serial ports. The Universal PCI host adapter card has an on-board RISC-based processor that delivers up to 115.2 Kbps of throughput on each port. The Digi PORTS module provides access to eight or 16 serial ports and can be Ethernet-enabled using Digi’s PortServer® II. AccelePort Xem supports many popular operating systems.
AccelePort Xem is a fast, reliable solution that connects terminals, printers, modems, instruments and other serial peripheral devices. It s ideal for data acquisition, office and factory automation, industrial process control applications and many more.
