The ClassicBoard family provides an array of PCI-based options to easily meet your serial expansion needs. Four- and eight-port RS-232 models are available with a choice of DB-25, DB-9 or RJ-45 connectors.
The ClassicBoard family is best suited for applications where the CPU is able to devote some of its resources to handling computations or to real time applications that require short latency intervals. This solution is ideal for connecting cash registers, print receipt devices, scanners and other peripheral devices in retail POS systems. ClassicBoard can also be used in applications using sensors, switches, measurement devices, factory automation, EDI, industrial control processing and data collection.
