Digi's Smart Energy Range Extender is a fully certified, drop-in solution for filling communication gaps in a Smart Energy network. The Range Extender can be used with Digi's other Smart Energy certified products like the ConnectPort® X2 gateway, and managed through Device Cloud by Etherios™. It plugs into a standard electrical outlet for quick and easy installation. Once installed, it then establishes itself as a routing node, providing expanded network range and adding redundancy to a Smart Energy network.
To ensure interoperability, the Range Extender utilizes the ZigBee Smart Energy Public Application Profile and is built upon the ZB-PRO extended-range hardware platform.
As part of Digi's growing Smart Energy offering, the Range Extender can be coupled with other ZigBee Smart Energy certified devices like the ConnectPort® X2 gateway, as well as connect to cloud management features with the Device Cloud.
