XBee-PRO DigiMesh 900 embedded RF modules utilize the peer-to-peer DigiMesh protocol in 900 MHz for long range deployments in North America. This innovative mesh protocol offers users added network stability through self-healing, self discovery, and dense network operation. With support for sleeping routers, DigiMesh is ideal for power sensitive applications relying upon batteries or power harvesting technology for power.
iDigi Manager Pro is a feature of all Digi cellular gateways, routers, devices and components. iDigi Manager Pro provides a robust suite of network management tools including authentication, configuration management, account management, asynchronous updates and alerts, group and individual software updating, network data storage and gateway programming.
iDigi Manager Pro empowers IT, network operations and customer support organizations to conquer the challenges of managing the vast array of cellular equipment in their device networks. Network managers can remotely configure, upgrade, monitor and troubleshoot remote devices, and create applications that improve productivity, speed and efficiency.
XBee-PRO DigiMesh 900 modules are long range embedded wireless solutions providing end-point device connectivity. These modules use the easy-to-deploy DigiMesh networking protocol. This innovative, peer-to-peer network offers users added network stability through self-healing, dense network operation and support for sleeping routers, extending the operational life of battery dependent networks. Combining the range advantages of the 900 MHz operating frequency with a fast 156 Kbps data rate to the end node and supporting RF line-of-sight ranges of up to 6 miles (with high-gain antennas), these modules are ideal for extended-range wireless applications requiring increased data throughput.
As a member of the XBee® family of RF products, these modules are easy-to-use, share a common hardware footprint and are fully interoperable with other XBee products utilizing the same technology. XBee-PRO DigiMesh 900 Modules are compatible with other devices that use XBee-PRO "DigiMesh 900" technology. These include ConnectPort X gateways, XBee-PRO Adapters, and other products when designated with the "DigiMesh 900" product name. Devices that do not have the "DigiMesh 900" product name, including Digi's line of ZB, DigiMesh 2.4, and 802.15.4 XBee products are not compatible with XBee-PRO DigiMesh 900 Modules.
XBee-PRO DigiMesh 900 hardware note: The XBee-PRO DigiMesh 900 shares hardware with XBee-PRO 900. As a result, modules can be “converted” from one platform to another by loading different firmware onto a given module. Contact Digi Support for details.
