The XBee Series 1 XTender combines the strengths of the XBee-PRO® Series 1 and XTend™ product lines to provide a long-range backhaul (up to 40 miles line-of-sight with a high-gain antenna) for low-power XBee Series 1 networks. The XBee Series 1 XTender effectively converts data between 2.4 GHz 802.15.4 and 900 MHz unlicensed operating frequencies.
It is simple to configure the XBee Series 1 XTender to communicate with existing XBee Series 1 or XTend networks. Advanced configurations can be made by connecting to a PC via the on-board USB port.
