Digi is committed to providing a complete solution to our customers. When required, this can include design services and customization of Digi products to meet the exact needs of an application. The use of Digi's design services can frequently reduce overall costs and the development time for new products.

Design services for Digi products are provided by Spectrum Design Solutions, a subsidiary of Digi International. Spectrum is a consulting and design company that develops custom hardware and software, with a specialty in wireless design. Spectrum and Digi can collaborate to deliver a complete, customized solution that extends the capabilities of Digi products and software.

Spectrum can provide the following design services for Digi products:

-  Complete hardware and software development of new products
• -  Customization of Digi products, including modifications to standard software
• -  Integration of software drivers or additional networking services
• -  Development of Python applications for Drop-in Networking products

Spectrum can also provide specific design services for Digi products at a fixed price. These currently include:

• Schematic Design Review
• A schematic design review prior to initial production will often identify issues that would require time-intensive debugging and revision of hardware. An experienced hardware engineer reviews the schematic and provides a written report with findings and a follow-up phone conference to answer questions.

• LCD Device Driver
• In Microsoft Windows CE or Linux, each specific LCD panel must have a custom device driver. Spectrum can provide a driver and a custom prototype for the LCD selected so application development can be completed on the actual LCD selected.
