The chipping rate of Digi spread spectrum modules
Chipping rates are related to the amount of bandwidth taken up by Direct
Sequence Spread Spectrum radios. Most Digi radios use Frequency-Hopping
Spread Spectrum to communicate. Frequency channels ranging between 25 and
50 independent frequencies between 902 and 928 MHz. We also provide a 25
channel 2.4GHz unit.
The XBee/XBee-PRO radios utilize DSSS
technology. The XBee/XBee-PRO uses 8 chips/bit, and utilizes a bandwidth
of 250kbps, for a total of 2 Mega-chips/s.
