What's New in September 2024

Welcome to the latest update for Digi Remote Manager®. This release provides features and general fixes. There were no security related changes.

 

Application Enhancements and Improvements

  • Customize your data streams list.

  • View all alerts, including those from data stream.

  • For improved security measures, the password you enter when adding a new device is now hidden. You do have the option to see the password, if needed.

  • Adding multiple new users? You will no longer see an "Error unknown" message when adding more than one user.

  • If you need to upgrade the firmware on your devices, the messaging in the dropdown list now clearly indicates the upgrade version you should use. This is the approved version that fixes all previous and current security vulnerabilities.

  • In API explorer, if you are using calls where multiple targets are permitted, all targets are now used instead of just the first one.

  • Improved the readability of text when viewing the GUI using the Dark theme.

  • You can now download data streams information to a CSV file.

  • You can now copy a template with a large site-specific CSV text file that exceeds 1MB.

  • You can now access DRM while using a web proxy.

  • The site no longer times our when uploading firmware.

  • If you are using the new device dashboard layout, it now notifies you that your device(s) are behind on critical security firmware upgrades.

  • On the device dashboard, in the Device Details card, click the map icon to open a map showing the device's location.

  • Clarified error messaging when viewing too many accounts. The Data Streams page search function performs better when searching for a single device.

  • For a better at-a-glance experience, the history information (Alerts, Automation, Configuration, Firmware, and Speedtest tables) has moved to their own Alerts and History tab.

  • For savvy new users who want to experience Remote Manager at their own pace, you can now cancel the Get Started wizard.

  • The basic and advanced filter bars have been combined into a single filter bar.

  • As an account admin, you can now configure the session timeout for users in your account to override the default 15-minute window.

  • On the Summary Dashboard tab, your preference for how the data is displayed - Chart View or Table View - is now remembered. You do not keep having to switch to your favorite view anymore!

Updated user guide content

  • Updated the Dashboard section, with explanations about the main- and device-specific dashboards. This will be incorporated into a DRM interface guide in the near future.
