The goal here is not to throw Golden Corral under the bus, but rather to simply raise awareness about the food handling practices within the industry. The preservation of food-based inventory is complex and requires dedication and strict practices. Some of these are highlighted here.

Popeyes was founded in 1972 with just a single restaurant called ” Chicken on the Run” in the New Orleans suburb of Arabi. After a less than stellar start they quickly re opened as Popeyes, after Popeye Doyle of the “French Connection” specializing in spicy New Orleans style chicken. 27 years later in 1999 Popeyes grew to over 1,000 locations and banked over 1 Billion in annual sales for the first time.

In 2012 Popeyes joined forces with Freshtemp to help usher them into a new era of digital temperature collection and to ensure they are providing the best quality product to the consumer on a daily basis.
