Why did you buy the SMART Temps program?
We were looking for a system that made it easier for our teams to manage food safety while providing accountability at our central office. The SMART Command Center website, that’s part of the SMART Temps system, made this attainable for us. The ability for our central office to be able to log on to the website, and see data from all of our theatres was just what we were looking for. SMART Temps real time reporting, ease of use and the ability to customize the documents also helped make them the easy choice.
How has it helped you with compliance issues?
With the real time reporting we are able to follow up with our theatre teams to ensure they are completing all of our food safety systems in a timely manner. We even use the photo option to verify recipe execution.
What part of the program has been most valuable to you?
The static temperature monitoring, and flow-of-food monitoring are great, but the inspection forms have been the most valuable for us. The ability to create unique systems for each of our sites and the real time follow up with notes and pictures are fantastic.
How has SMART Temps saved you time, money and improved product/patient safety?
With the static temperature monitoring and alerts, we no longer need to worry about equipment failure and losing a cooler full of product. Completing systems in SMART Temps is also faster than using paper and pencil which has saved labor costs, not to mention we no longer need to print and hold onto all of the paperwork. This has also helped provide more accountability for our staff.
