I looked over the document you attached, but an important part of your configuration was missing. Please post what's in your WebUI's Network > Remote Management screen. Also, are you trying to run ConnectWare Manager on a local server, or are you trying to get to the Digi demo Connectware Manager server @ connectware.digi.com?

I'm trying to run CWM on a local server named Computer1.

By the way, thanx for your rapid reaction!

The first thing I would do is uncheck the boxes under Server-Initiated Management Connection, as you will need to use 1 method or the other. If you are adding a device for the first time, the Client-Initiated Management Connection would be the method to use.

The second thing that comes to mind is the hostname of the PC that has Connectware running on it. Is Computer1 a resolvable hostname by DNS? If not, the CPX2 will not be able to find it by this name. You may need to use the IP of Computer1 instead of the hostname.

I have solved the problem! I have a router with an inbuild firewall. I had also the firewall in my WinXP PC enabeld.
Bud, there is an other problem! Now in Connectware Device Management i can see the device, but in Mesh Networks i can't! What do i wrong?

The screen shot you provided shows the device is disconnected. Typically, this occurs because the CWM server is behind a NAT and the Services redirection URL by default gets set the private IP address and not the public.

This can be fixed by editing the Services destination URL. Server Management->Services tab (see attached).
