Which device file is best (if any) for printers on HP-UX ?

Hi all,

installing Digi 16-Port server on HP-UX B.11.23, i used drpadmin to create the needed special device files on my system (/dev/ttyXX##, /dev/cuXX##, /dev/prXX##).
According to the documentation, cuXX## is for standard device, and ttyXX## is for modem device.
Wich one should i use to connect a serial printer ?
I tried both and both worked, but i guess one should be better (maybe for flow control, or anything else).

Since, the cux## device does not require carrier (DCD), it is typically recommended over the ttyx## device. However, if DCD is wired on the printer cable, either device will work.

Hope this makes sense.
