I tried using PyCrypto, but couldn't get the module on the X2e using DigiEsp. Does anyone have any experience encrypting messages or using third party modules on an X2e? I know there are some posts on here about installing third party modules but none of the answers have worked out for me.

Latest Digi ESP fro python supports X2e, but it also doesn't have encryption.
Basically the communication from device and device cloud are encrypted, may be you can find more details in device cloud guide.
