Sorry, write access to UUCP lockfile directory denied.

Hello. I installed RealPort on Debian wheezy (7.6) and am getting an error. According the drivers list, Debian squeeze (6.0) is the most recent Debian release RealPort runs on. It does run on a squeeze box I set up, but I want to run it on wheezy. Here is the error I get when I try and access the virtual com port with kermit (regular user or root).

Are you able to use dinc to access the port instead?

# dinc 9600 /dev/ttyxyz

Ultimately, you will want to check permissions on the "lock" directory (I believe this is /var/lock in Debian). Also, confirm the devices uucp assigned as group/owner:

chwon uucp:uucp /dev/ttyxyz
