Digi CM 16 works with switches, pdus, no output from IBM x3550 M4 hosts. I think I need specific settings in the BIOS.

Are you able to see output from another serial port?
What operating system is running on the IBM host?

Yes I can see output from Cisco switches and IBM PDUs.
The OS on the IBM hosts is VMware 5.0
Sorry, I'm not on site so I don't have the cabling pin-outs.
