xctu can't find xbee s2

Hi,
On XCTU on the com port setup, where it says "Select com port", the box is empty no ports.
I have my xbee s2 connected to the xbee usb adapter, one of the LEDs on the adapter is on but just nothing is happening.

Help please!!

What is the part number of the adapter board you are using?

Have you installed the USB drivers for that board?
