S6B in trasnsparent mode stuck

+1 vote
Hi,
we have various module with FW 2004 and 2021 that gest stuck from time to time.

We work in transparent mode, all parameters just written in the flash, see list below. Some of the params listed was set to try to solve, we tested various params.

We recreated the problem on a test set in office, the problem first appear on a working site.

In the test set there is a server that call the S6B module every 10 seconds (on site every 200 seconds). Open the socket send 16 byte and receive back from 16 to 40 bytes than close. The same software is working from years with wired ethernet embedded devices.

On a set of 6 DIGI S6B we are able to get stuck a couple every day randomly.

We have two kind of stuck, complete and partial.
On partial stuck we can comunicate with the module DIGI using UART and then commands: +++ and then AT. We look to various parameters but we are not able to know why DIGI module is not aswering to PING or socket connection. IP address and everything seems correct. The status is on-line, the led blink correctly.

The second type of stuck is complete, the led blink sequence is 2 times and then a pause.
The module not answer to request on UART, checking with a protocol analyzer data is transmitted but there is no answer at all. Also in this case the module not answer to PING or socket.

In both cases we are able to restart communication with just power off/on.

Any idea?
Seems a so simply environment in wich the system just need to forward small packets.

Thankyou
Andrea

Sounds a lot like a voltage issue on the uart or a current/voltage issue on VCC.
