i.mx28 no wlan0

0 votes
Hi there,

i use the i.mx28 with Wifi and created my own Linux Setup with the Digi Embedded Linux.

But typing ifconfig there is no wlan0 device.

I selected all drivers AND or only default Wireless Lan IEEE.802.11 but nothing happens.

Can anyone tell me, how i get the wlan0 device?

Tank you!

Verify that you have installed the necessary components. Under the Help-->DigiESP for Embedded Linux section. On section 10.3 Including the wireless interface in the Linux Kernel, you'll need to install the wireless-tools package and WPA supplicant package. This packages are necessary to configure the WLAN adapter. Also take a look at section 9.31.2 "Enabling the wireless network which shows you how to incorporate these packages in rootfs configuration.

I followed the instructions of 10.3and 9.31.2.

Powering up wlan0 with "ifup wlan0" i get this error:

modprobe: can't load module ath6kl_sdio (extra/ath6kl_sdio.ko): Invalid argument
Loading ath6kl_sdio module: [FAILED]
ifconfig: SIOCGIFFLAGS: No such device
