Got a new anywhere USB/5 gen 2 today and when trying to get it up the lights are alternating on the usb ports as well as the power connection. Any help appreciated.

Try recovering the unit per the instructions in this KB article:

Was able to get past the alternating LEDs after trying 5 different computers. Now the device does not get an IP and is stuck on apipa and has a mac of ff:ff:ff:ff:ff:ff . Never had so many issues from the gate with any device except for this one. Any idea?

I suggest RMA'ing the unit by creating a new support case / RMA request with Digi.  Be sure to reference this forum post and it should get approved.
