Is the ConnectPort TS MEI a direct replacement for the PortServer TS MEI?

We tried to order new PortServer TS MEI - we use them in the hospitals for serial devices that need to log to a DAS. The site says PortServer TS MEI is End Of Life and suggests the ConnectPort TS MEI. I want to make sure before ordering them that they will work the same way the PortServer worked.

Thanks,
Mike

The ConnectPort TS is almost a direct replacement. It depends on what features you are using. Realistically I suspect in 95% of the cases you would be fine.

If all you are doing is taking a serial stream via TCP or Realport then you should be fine. The PortServer TS could also have multiple routes whereas the ConnectPort TS just has a default route.
