How can I find out the DNP address of a WR-21? I need this to be able to send controls from a SCADA system. If I need to hit the DO output in the WR_21 how do I address it?

Hi

If you are onabout the TCP Port number for the serial interface the default number is 4000 this can be changed in the router

thorugh the web GUI in

Configuration - Network > Network Services

ASY 0 Listening Port:

or from CLI

cmd 0 asy_listen 2000

if i have this wrong please explain what you mean by DNP address

right. that's correct. But what I'm looking for is the unit id number or can I assign one to it. So My SCADA will look at a unit number to know which device its looking for. then I can send controls to it

in your scarda system when you setup the devices you would use the routers IPaddress / port number.

the IP ADDRESS will depend on the contracts you have and what you are using the wan interface as.

if you are using ethernet then this will be down to your network admins.

if it is over ethernt that will be down to you cellulare contract and APN /  private  public address
this could be dynamic or fixed IP address

lot of diffrent problems you would have to over come
