Hello!

Does transport wr44 work as a serial server?

Sure it can be used as a serial server.
Currently REalPort drivers are not available for the Digi TransPort line, but they are planned for the future.

If you telnet to the routers IP address using TCP port 4000 you will be connected to what ever device is attached to the serial port, also you can use the command TCPPERM on the router to create an outbound tcp connection to another decvice.
