Python on Legacy SARIAN HR4420 ?

Can you run PYTHON (or other) scripts on the SARIAN routers?
Do they have to have a DIGI compliant firmware upgrade first?
Is there a very simple how to get started document or a few lines of advice, for example to read the uptime or status of the tx bytes of PPP 1 ?
Cheers

I moved this to the Sarian - Legacy directory. Hopefully my colleagues in Ilkely can answer this for you.
