Tx Errors and Packet Lost

0 votes

I'm using XCTU for testing link quality between 2 XBee S2 ZB devices.

Suppose this scenario: XBee A transmits (packet sent) and XBee B receives, but also send ackowledges. If I cut off energy from XBee B then the Tx errors indicator starts to rise but I expect for Packet lost to rise. This is because XBee establish some kind of association like TCP that if the receiver goes off then it doesnt send because there is no association? in MAC layer level?.

In Zigbee, association process is done during joining. With first successful delivery of data packet, XBee A will save most optimum transmission route in its memory.

If XBee B is powered off at later stage, then XBee A will not be able to figure it out instantly.
