How to I select which coordinator to connect to?

0 votes
I have a scenario where there will be multiple independent networks in relatively close proximity - all gathering their own data, all happily running on their own.

I have a serial router who's job it is to connect to each of the coordinators in the individual networks, query it and download some stored data, and move on to the next one.

I have this working well when there is only one network nearby, but I am struggling on how to select one where there are multiple. I have played with the AS command, but that does not return an address I can use. The Join First and Best Response do not produce reliable results.

Any suggestions?

Thank you.

I'm not familiar with the AS command, but each network should have its own unique PAN ID, and possibly frequency channel too (CH or HP depending on the radio) to avoid interference.

You would have to know the PAN IDs before hand and program the router to query each of those networks.

There's not a lot of control if you want the radio to dynamically join networks of its own volition, especially when there are several options.
