Xbee PRO SX watchdog timer reset randomly when sending data

Hi,

I've bought a Xbee Pro SX development kit (XK9X-DMS-0) and I updated the modules with the latest version 9004.

The problem is that when I start a throughtput test in XCTU with 200 bytes packet, the module starts to reboot randomly and in each restart it does not respond for 1 minute. The module sends a modem status frame with 0x01 value (Watchdog timer reset).

I've tested with diferent RF baudrates, Serial baudrates, Channel Masks, RF power levels and finally with the default configuration. Also I've reloaded the 9004 firmware in the modules, and the problem persists.

The problem is not caused by the power supply or antennas, because I'm using the power adapters and antennas included in the kit.

What could I do to solve this problem?

Any definitive help in this regard would be much appreciated!

How are you powering the device?

Is this with the module that is on the Big board or one of the smaller boards?

what is the module reporting for its temperature?

Hi,

I'm powering the devices with 12V, 1.5A (18W) power adapters, included in the kit.

Both modules are on the Big boards (XBIB-XBP9XR-0, REV D).

The module reports 27°C.

Also, the module sends this frame before sending the status frame, while it resets:

57 20 00 00 6C 52 87

0x57 as frame delimiter? It's very strange, I don't know this frame.

And the status frame arrives after it:

7E 00 02 8A 01 74 (watchdog timer reset)
