How to activate cellular XBee 3G if SIM not supplied by Digi?

I have a XBee Cellular 3G (XBC-M5-UT-001) with default configuration settings for which I purchased a BELL SIM card (Data plan activated). I can see in Configuration working mode that I have cellular signal strength (DB = 61) but Association Indication keeps changing between 22, 23, and FF upon successive configuration reads, the end result is no cell network association.

You need to set the APN (AN command). Talk to your carrier and they can provide you the value for it.
