Shutting off unused Ethernet Ports in WR21

0 votes
Does anyone know how to "shut off" or disable unused ethernet ports on the WR21 router? I'm using the 2 port version, ETH1 is in hub mode. I want to go ahead and disable it since it is not in use.

Hi

there is no way to shutdown a single port on the wr21.

to protect the port from being used you should put the router in port isolate mode.
and if you set the eth 1 interface to a unsable ip /subnet and add the firewall to block all traggic on the interface.

block break end on eth1

even though the port would look as active it should nt pass traffic
