How to decode digi connect me packets with Wireshark

0 votes
Hello,
I am trying to read the packets between two devices, one which has a DigiConnectME embedded in it, to debug a communication issue. Using wireshark I see a number of packets between my devices, but I am unsure on how to decode the packets. Is there documentation as to how data is transmitted between the virtual com port and the DigiConnectME?

The PN on the Digi is 5000878-01.

Thank you,
Aaron

What protocol are you trying to debug? based on your question I assume it's realport.
digi has a product for that purpose:
Digi Net C/X Network Protocol Analyzer is a Windows
application to capture and analyze communications
between a Digi RealPort driver and a Digi RealPort
device.

Specifically, Digi Net C/X Network Protocol Analyzer
is a custom-built version of WireShark, by Gerald
Combs, compiled with a custom Net C/X dissector.

Any newer version of plugin could work with Wireshark V3.4 or 3.2
