XBee S68 has long delay before transmitting packet

0 votes
I'm using an XBee WiFi module to transmit a simple HTTP get request to a local webserver and the time to transmit is outrageously long, on the order of 8 to 10 seconds. Ping values to the IP address of the server are low (40-50ms), and it would seem that the problem is on the XBee side as additional requests sent in that 8-10s delay period are concatenated and sent as one packet (which, of course, causes the request to fail as it comes in garbled).

I've played with the packetization delay but that doesn't do anything. I think I'm missing something but I can't for the life of me figure out what.

How do I force my packet to be sent immediately?

What firmware version are you working with on your XBee WIFI S6B?
