Route Discovery

Hi guys;
Before source routing, it is necessary to perform route discovery in which any node knows how to send a data to specific node via specific route.
I've tried to find any document in which the process is explained in XBee 2, but I can not find any. I'd really appreciate it if anyone can introduce me any resource.

No it is not needed. The rout will be discovered on the first transmission back using the path the data took to get there.

And does this process take place in both XBee and XBee Pro?

If it is using a Zigbee enabled firmware, then yes it will be the same on both low power and high power versions.
