Available 1080p camera module working for the CCIMX6UL

0 votes
Hello everyone,

for my current project, I am using the CCIMX6UL. An important part of the project is to implement a camera module which should be able to stream 1080p. Unfortunately, I cant use any sensor module from the OVXXXX Series.

can Digi or someone else please recommend a camera module available for purchase, compatible with the current Yocto dey kernel compatible with this processor?

thank you in advance.

kind regards

Have you seen this one:
e-CAM50IMX6 iMX Camera uses a 5MP auto focus camera module powered by OmniVision’s OV5640 CMOS image sensor and is interfaced to i.MX6 CPU through MIPI CSI-2 Interface.
e-CAM50IMX6, 5MP MIPI iMX camera board is capable of streaming 720p@60fps (HD) and 1080p@30fps

Unfortunately, the OV5640 Module is not Accepted.
what do you mean by not accepted?
Hello Leonid,

as I can see this camera module is using a MIPI CSI-2 which is supported only by the i.MX6Q and not by the i.MX6UL processor.

Or it is possible to read a serial camera Interface also with the i.MX6UL? :)

thank you very much :)
Hi! Leonid,

Sorry. How can this camera module interface to CC6 SBC MIPI-CSI-2 interface which has only 15 pins. And the e-consystems and it says 30 pins on its technical drawing.

I went to https://www.e-consystems.com/iMX6-MIPI-Camera-Board.asp and downloaded the its technical information and all of it show that it has 30 pins interface.

Please advise. Thank you.
