A SIM card has, by accident, has slipped into the unit while inserting the SIM card. The unit uses special spring type holding screws. How to I remove these screws in order to access the inside to retrieve the SIM card ?

Not sure if you'll void warranty, but opening a WR31 is easy.
Remove nuts off SMA connectors and remove the 2 allen screws, then cover comes off and with enough shaking the SIM should fall out.
Then re-assemble
