Channel Selection

Hello All,

On page 37 of this document https://www.digi.com/resources/documentation/digidocs/pdfs/90001539.pdf shows an example of a temperature monitoring router sending data to the coordinator every 5 seconds.

I followed this example, had my coordinator and my router set up and the two devices were communicating. I then reset both devices and they refuse to communicate with one another. I opened both in XCTU and they are both using PANID 0x3332. The router is running on channel 10 and the coordinator is running on channel 17. Is this the cause of my issue?

Can different devices on the same network communicate with one another on different channels?

Yes that is the cause of the issue. Simply enter command mode on your router and issue an ATNR0. That will force the router to look for the Coordinator again.
