Xbee3 Bootloader

0 votes
Hey Guys ,

I am new to ZigBee module programming . I have some basic queries regarding the module.

1. Do I need to burn bootloader to Xbee3 module or this module already has the bootloader uploaded from factory?

2.What are different methods of uploading the firmware to the hardware module?

Thanks.

The XBee 3 modules already have a bootloader installed on them along with the firmware. Unless you are updating or changing the firmware on the radios, you do not need to worry about accessing the bootloader.

The best way to update the firmware is via XCTU and an Interface board such as one that comes in a development kit. You can also change the firmware over the air as described in the manual.
