Where the config file is stored when I change the firmware update option in preferences?

I am trying to deploy XCTU across some machines at the University I work at silently. I do not want the software to check for firmware updates on startup as I am getting an error, does anyone know where the config file is stored when I change the option in preferences so I can copy this across on install?

The XCTU software installs registry settings as well. You should not just copy the files over but run the installer on each one. Once installed, you can copy over the directory for the firmware files and deselect the option in the Preferences to check for firmware updates.
