AnywhereUSB Manager shows red cross and can't connect after initial configuration

Check the network settings:   Are you able to ping the AnywhereUSB Plus hub's IP address?  Can you open the Hub's Dashboard page with a web browser, or SSH to the CLI of the Hub at that IP adderess?
