Digi Does Not Move Devices Between Accounts

Digi International does not move devices between Digi Remote Manager accounts on behalf of customers, partners, resellers, or managed service providers (MSPs). This policy helps protect customer security, privacy, and ownership rights.

 

How to Move a Device Between Accounts

If you need to transfer a device from one Digi Remote Manager account to another, follow these steps:

  1. The current account owner must de-register the device from their Digi Remote Manager account.
  2. The new account owner can then register the device to their own Digi Remote Manager account using the device’s Digi ID and credentials.

This process does not require Digi’s involvement.

 

Important Notes

  • Digi Remote Manager Licenses do not transfer with devices - the destination account must have enough available licenses or Pay-per-use (PPU) billing to support transfer of the devices.
  • Sensitive configuration data remains the responsibility of the original account owner.
  • Digi cannot verify ownership or facilitate transfers between parties.
