Ron KoneznyPresident and CEO

Ron Kenezny

Mr. Konezny joined our company December, 2014, as President and Chief Executive Officer. Prior to joining us he was Vice President, Global Transportation and Logistics division of Trimble Navigation Limited, a global provider of navigation and range-finding equipment and related solutions. He had served in that role since September 2013. Prior to this position, he served from August 2011 to September 2013 as the General Manager of this division and as the Chief Executive Officer of PeopleNet, Inc., after PeopleNet was acquired by Trimble in 2011. Mr. Konezny was a founder of PeopleNet where he held a variety of executive positions since 1996, including Chief Technology Officer, Chief Financial Officer, Chief Operating Officer and, from September 2007 through PeopleNet’s acquisition by Trimble, Chief Executive Officer. PeopleNet is a leading provider of telematics solutions for the transportation industry. Mr. Konezny also presently serves on the board of directors of I.D. Systems, Inc.

Mr. Konezny has extensive experience in the wireless M2M industry working with solutions comprised of hardware and cloud-based applications. He brings extensive leadership experience in corporate strategy, manufacturing, operation, technology, finance and business development to the Board. Mr. Konezny was the 2009 winner of the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year® award in the Technology category.

Mike GoergenSVP, CFO, Treasurer

Mike Goergen

Mr. Goergen joined Digi International in April 2015, as Senior Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer. Prior to joining Digi he served as Senior Vice President – Finance of the Transport/Logistics division of Trimble Navigation Limited from April 2013 to March 2015. From June 2007 to April 2013, Mr. Goergen served as Chief Financial Officer of PeopleNet Communications. PeopleNet was acquired by Trimble in 2011. Prior to his role as Chief Financial Officer of PeopleNet, he served since 1997 in various financial roles at PeopleNet.

Kevin RileyChief Operating Officer

Kevin Riley

Mr. Riley is Digi’s Chief Operating Officer. He joined our company in January 2013 as Senior Vice President of Sales and was promoted to COO in January 2016. Prior to joining us, Mr. Riley served as Senior Vice President – Global Markets for Infor Global Solutions, where he led five global business units to profitable growth. Prior to his time at Infor, he was Vice President and General Manager to Oracle from September 2008 to January 2010 and President of Global Knowledge Software from September 2002 to September 2008, when Global Knowledge Software was acquired by Oracle. He has also served as President and Chief Operating Officer for Learn2 Corporation. Mr. Riley is a graduate of Old Dominion University where he graduated with a BS in Business Administration.

Scott NelsonVP of Product

Scott Nelson

Mr. Nelson joined Digi in October 2017 as Vice President of Product and is responsible for directing the company’s vision, strategy, and product roadmaps in collaboration with Research and Development, Sales, and Operations. Mr. Nelson was most recently Chief Technical Officer (CTO) and Executive Vice President of Corporate Development at SkyWater Technology Foundry, where he led strategy, growth, and new-offering development. As CEO and CTO of Reuleaux Technology, LLC, Mr. Nelson advised companies on strategies and new-business development in IoT markets. Previously, Mr. Nelson spent more than 15 years with Logic PD, ultimately rising to CTO and Executive Vice President of Enterprise Growth.

Jon NylandVP of Manufacturing Operations

Jon Nyland

Mr. Nyland joined Digi in 1993 as Manager of Manufacturing and Test Engineering. He served in roles of increasing responsibility until he was promoted in April 1999 to his current position of Vice President of Manufacturing Operations. Prior to joining us, from 1985 to 1993, Mr. Nyland held engineering and consulting positions with ITT Corporation, Minnesota Technology and Turtle Mountain Corporation.

Tracy RobertsVP of Technology Services, CIO

Tracy Roberts

Ms. Roberts has served as our Vice President of Technology Services, CIO since March 2005 and has been employed by the Company since June 1999. Prior to joining us, Ms. Roberts served as the Director of Human Resources at Novartis Nutrition Corporation where she served the medical nutritional business unit. Prior to her time at Novartis, Ms. Roberts had an extensive career with Cray Research (now Silicon Graphics) including various roles with Human Resources and Marketing.

David SampsellVP, Corporate Development, General Counsel & Corporate Secretary

David Sampsell

Mr. Sampsell joined our company in April 2011 as Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary. In January 2014, Mr. Sampsell’s role expanded to include oversight of Corporate Development. Prior to joining us, Mr. Sampsell worked as corporate counsel at ADC Telecommunications, Inc. from December 1999 until March 2011. His most recent role at ADC was as Associate General Counsel overseeing corporate transactions and securities law compliance. Prior to joining ADC, Mr. Sampsell was an attorney in private practice from 1993 to 1999.

Scott WilkenVP of Technology

Scott Wilken

Mr. Wilken joined Digi in October 2017 as Vice President of Technology. Mr. Wilken previously served as the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of KING, where he was responsible for Research and Innovation, Product Development and Information Technology. Mr. Wilken rebuilt the company’s development operations and defined an IoT-focused product roadmap. Earlier, Mr. Wilken was the CTO of MultiTech Systems, where he led all technology units and created systems to maximize the company’s innovation. Before MultiTech Systems, Mr. Wilken spent 13 years with Logic PD, most recently as Vice President of Engineering.
