The Digi ConnectCore 8X is a surface-mount system-on-module built on the NXP i.MX8 application processor. Digi's Yocto Project™-based embedded Linux distribution, Digi Embedded Yocto, serves as the reference distribution for the Digi ConnectCore range of embedded system-on-modules and single board computers. It includes both Digi hardware customizations and software extensions not part of the standard Yocto Project.

The ConnectCore 8X SBC Pro is an ultra compact Pico-ITX board featuring the Digi ConnectCore 8X system-on-module that integrates an NXP i.MX8X application processor, LPDDR4 memory, eMMC flash memory, WLAN/Bluetooth, power management IC for optimized power consumption applications, and a Micro Controller Assist (MCA) chip for additional functionality. This standalone product serves as the reference design for the ConnectCore 8X System-on-Module and can also be used on its own to accelerate time to market.
