FIPS 140-2 Compliance with Digi

Oct 03, 2023 | Length: 1:41

Today, all U.S. government agencies and contractors as well as Canadian government agencies, must use FIPS 140-2 validated cryptographic modules — hardware and software — for secure communications. This strict standard encrypts sensitive data to prevent cyberattacks.

Those required to comply include agencies such as Department of Defense (DOD), the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Customs and Border Patrol (CBP), Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), police forces, financial institutions and organizations that are required to be HIPAA-compliant. Yet any operation can comply with the standard to ensure safe handling of data.

Digi devices based on the Digi Accelerated Linux Operating System (DAL OS) are fully validated and in compliance via a simple firmware update. Watch our video to learn more about FIPS and how Digi Remote Manager® enables rapid FIPS compliance across all Digi DAL OS based devices.
