Electrical noise interference from the RF module

Question:

I am considering using a 9XStream board in a wireless IO application. I wish to mount the board in a ''''daughter board'''' fashion ie. piggy backing off the main board, will I have any problems with rf interference if components (microcontroller etc) on the main board are mounted beneath the 9xstream board?

Answer:

Digi OEM Modules have been certified by an independant test lab to comply with the emissions levels allows in the FCC regulations.

Digi customers have seen the noise from the module affect the sampling of only very sensitive sensors like thermocouples during a transmission. Most customers shut down the module to take the most accurate measurements and then power it up to transmit the results. Our customers have mounted standard DSPs or microprocessors underneath our OEM Module without any problems.
