First, you will need the telnet application installed on your host. To issue telnet, get to a command line prompt on your PC. From Windows, this is either Start - Run or Start - Accessories - Run, followed by typing in cmd.
Once at the prompt, issue telnet followed by the IP address of your Digi unit:
C:\> telnet 192.168.1.83
Login as root (if you've set up authentication).
Issue the following commands from the prompt to obtain connection, logs and setup information:
who
display techsupp
display log
To copy the results, click on the icon in the upper left corner of the window, under the Edit option click Select All. Next, under the Edit option click Copy. Then, paste the contents into a document for analysis.
