Designed for distributed enterprise and outdoor deployments, Digi EX61 is a compact indoor/outdoor 5G cellular extender that delivers secure, always-on connectivity for retail branches, kiosks, digital signage, smart city infrastructure and other fixed-location applications.
Built on the Qualcomm SDX72 platform and compliant with 3GPP Release 17, Digi EX61 combines 5G eMBB with LTE fallback and dual 2.5 GbE ports for high-capacity connectivity. Internal omnidirectional cellular and passive GNSS antennas eliminate external RF connectors, simplifying installation while improving long-term reliability across indoor and outdoor deployments.
An RJ-45 serial port provides direct out-of-band management access to connected enterprise infrastructure, while a physical 4FF Nano SIM and embedded Digi eSIM with software-selectable carrier switching enable zero-touch device setup, carrier flexibility and seamless failover.
Digi EX61 supports simplified single-cable deployment using 802.3af PoE or USB-C power. The IP66-rated enclosure and −40 °C to 70 °C (−40 °F to 158 °F) operating range support reliable operation across demanding outdoor and industrial environments.
Digi EX61 runs Digi Accelerated Linux (DAL OS) and is centrally managed through Digi Remote Manager (DRM), included with the Digi 360 solution. DANI (Digi Artificial Network Intelligence), Digi Containers, Digi WAN Bonding and Digi Mobile VPN are available as value-added services.
Organizations can rapidly provision devices, monitor connectivity, enforce security policies and perform remote firmware updates across distributed networks.
