Out-of-Band Management and Network Resilience

Overcome network outages and disruptions with out-of-band management

Watch the Tech Talk

When a network system goes down, or a remote device goes offline, IT administrators need a way to connect to field hardware and restore normal system operation. The best way to do that is with secure server out-of-band management platform.

Network Resiliency: Tools for Troubleshooting

Managing your device network is one thing when the network is up, but requires an out-of-band (OOB) management strategy in the event of network disruptions. Digi Remote Manager lets you remotely and securely access devices OOB, via console access. Network administrators have serial connection access through a combination of Digi RM's business-level service and cellular products running the Digi Accelerated Linux (DAL) operating system.

  • Provides central access to remote devices, even when they are offline
  • Enables secure out-of-band management via a serial connection
  • Dynamic SIM cards automatically disallow incoming IP traffic, by design
  • Communications through the console to Digi hardware passes through a pre-configured, device-initiated tunnel using TLS 1.2 encryption
