3G - Lock to 3G.
4G - Lock to 4G LTE.
4G3G2G - Attempt to use 4G LTE, otherwise 3G, otherwise 2G.

4G2G - Attempt to use 4G LTE, otherwise 2G.
3G2G - Attempt to use 3G, otherwise 2G.

GOBI 3000 "U8" module:

Auto - Speed, signal strength and signal quality characteristics determine the "best" technology to use.
GSM - 2G only mode (option only available when GSM is used)
WCDMA - 3G only mode (option only available when GSM is used)
CDMA - 2G only mode (option only available when CDMA is used)
EVDO - 3G only mode (option only available when CDMA is used)
3G2G - Attempt to use 3G, otherwise 2G (option only available when GSM is used)

Notes:

  • The Preferred system settings are located in Configuration - Network > Interfaces > Mobile > Advanced, in the TransPort web UI.
  • When changing this setting, be sure to Apply the change, perform a "Save All", then Reboot the TransPort.
  • To lock the technology to 4G LTE choose either "4G" or "LTE" depending on which of those two options are available.
