Any attached USB devices are detected by the operating system just as they were before the Hubport/14 is rebooted or power cycled — the mapping persists, and devices are not remapped as new, previously unseen devices. The Hubport/14 is a standard, self-powered USB 2.0 hub that stores no device mapping of its own, so there is nothing in the hub to reassign. On a reboot or power cycle, the hub and its downstream peripherals simply re-enumerate through the normal USB attach process, and the OS re-detects each device by its own reported USB identity (such as vendor/product ID and serial number) and its unchanged physical port position.
