Digi AnywhereUSB® 24 Plus Linux limitations

The Digi AnywhereUSB® Plus family is currently supported under the distributions defined in the Linux Manager release notes for both the 2 ports and 8 ports versions of the hardware.

While Linux supports >8 USB devices physically, currently only 8 USB devices per Linux machine are supported via AnywhereUSB Plus (Regardless of number of AnywhereUSB Plus devices that are involved) due to kernel limitations.

For this reason, the Digi AnywhereUSB® 24 Plus can be used under Linux but with the limitation of only 8 ports per Linux machines can be used from the 24 port device. This would allow users to configure a maximum of 8 ports per group, which could allow multiple Linux machines (up to 3 if using 8 ports per groups) to connect to one single Digi AnywhereUSB® 24 Plus.
