Meet Service Level Commitments
When it comes to the Internet of Things, only the most reliable communication connections will do. With Digi Remote Manager, you can visually monitor, update and maintain the performance requirements you depend on most, with reports on the following key parameters:
- Cellular connection history
- 3G/4G LTE signal quality
- Packet delivery
- Cellular data sent and received
- CPU and memory utilization
- Network interface throughput
- Level 1 PCI-DSS validation
Stay compliant with Payment Card Industry (PCI DSS) standards
Digi has taken an industry-leading position concerning the adoption of stringent PCI DSS standards and other relevant security frameworks such as HIPAA and NIST. Digi Remote Manager has been used in PCI compliant networks and maintains a certified ROC (Report on Compliance) from a PCI-DSS QSA. Digi Remote Manager finds and fixes inappropriate or inaccurate configurations before they can be exploited. It lets you define a device profile and assign it to all devices in a group, to monitor and auto-remediate any variances.
Keep devices up and running
Many things can go wrong when operating a network of distributed M2M routers; Digi Remote Manager lets you diagnose and fix remote devices without ever sending a technician to the site. This helps your most critical applications gain greater reliability and up-time…minus the expensive site visits.
Perform remote two-way communication with non-Digi devices
Connect any device, including non-Digi hardware, to the cloud with Digi Cloud Connector. Available for Android, Java SE/ME, Embedded and Kinetis devices, a family of connectors simplifies the process of managing dynamic device infrastructures, making it easy to deploy devices and applications.
Integrate device data into a third-party system
Use the open APIs of the Digi Remote Manager platform to push device data into any third-party application, or to build a custom M2M application.
Keep your data safe, sound, secure
Security for cloud services is a rapidly changing paradigm and Digi is committed to providing security controls that meet or exceed all industry standards. In conjunction with the Cloud Security Alliance, of which Digi is a corporate member, our cloud security team is active and visible in the data security space. They hold certifications such as CISSP, RHCE, CCNP, MCSE, the EC-COUNCIL Certified Security Analyst (CSA) and Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), as well as ISO27002 Certified Lead Implementer certifications.
Digi maintains its own ISO27001 certified security program for Remote Manager software, and our systems are often located in certified SSAE-16 (old SAS-70 Type II ) and ISO27001 facilities. Digi industry-leading practices are recognized by the security community as well, as evidence by membership in the Center for Internet Security (CIS) and SkyHigh’s independent rating of the highest level, Enterprise Ready, for Digi Remote Manager.
As a key component in a PCI-DSS certified solution, Digi Remote Manager can simplify your certification and ongoing compliance. Digi maintains a certified ROC (Report on Compliance) from a PCI-DSS QSA, greatly simplifying the certification process for your solution by allowing you to focus on your application and payment terminal components at the edge. Digi has already certified everything in between.
Digi Remote Manager helps you meet security compliance targets by providing the following security functions to your field devices: centralized device patching, capacity planning, centralized logging, compliance scanning, compliance reporting, change control, backup/disaster recovery, intrusion detection and asset management.
Digi Remote Manager is a key component of HIPAA-compliant solutions. To meet HIPAA compliance, we recommend Digi Remote Manager as a data conduit for health information. Since it does not process health information, customers looking to implement a HIPAA solution do not need a Business Associate agreement signed, provided that they encrypt the data while it is passed through Digi Remote Manager.
